1. Oil characteristics: viscosity, viscosity index, flash point. When the index is 100, the temperature is 40 ℃, the viscosity is 100, the temperature is 100 ℃, and the viscosity is 20. The higher the index, the smaller the influence of viscosity and temperature; The lower the index, the greater the influence of temperature on viscosity. Engine oil should have an appropriate viscosity, which is an important indicator of its properties and a basis for its performance. If the viscosity is too low, under pressure on the friction parts, the engine oil will be pressed out of the friction surface, forming dry or semi dry friction; If the viscosity is too high and the fluidity is poor, it will be difficult to enter the gaps of the friction surface, increase the friction force, affect the power of the internal combustion engine, and make it difficult to start the internal combustion engine. Internal combustion engines operate at high temperatures, and the smaller the change in oil viscosity, the better.

2. The engine oil should not contain acidic or alkaline substances that have a corrosive effect on metals, as they can cause rusting on the metal surface.

3. Engine oil should not burn easily. When the engine oil enters the combustion chamber, the lower the viscosity after combustion, the better.

4. Imported diesel generator sets require the use of Mobil and Shell 15W-40CF imported engine oil.
